Hinkston Station

CUSTOMERS IN THE LEDGER OF THE TRADING POST AT

 HINKSTON’S STATION, 1794 to 1796

One ledger and a portion of another were recently donated to the Kentucky Historical Society by Frances S. Killen of Indianapolis, Twineham’s great-great granddaughter. The following customer list is taken from the beginning of the ledger. Each customer is listed with the page number or which his or her account begins. The list also includes family relationships and occupations in several cases. "Strike throughs" may be people who moved away or may simply be mistakes. No changes have been made to original spelling. Modern punctuation has been added for clarity. Occupations, homesites, and family relationships appear within brackets. (Kentucky Ancestors. [1996 v. 32-1] : p. 33-41.)
